The Anchorettes: Women’s Auxiliary of Gulf Harbors Yacht Club
Who We Are
The Anchorettes is the women’s auxiliary to the Gulf Harbors Yacht Club. Our members proudly uphold a time-honored tradition of service, supporting both our Club and the broader community. Each year, we take on a variety of projects designed to enhance the experience of our members and make a positive impact locally.
Our Impact
Thanks to the dedication and generosity of the Anchorettes, the Club benefits from improvements and equipment that might otherwise go unaddressed. Notably, the Anchorettes played a vital role in helping rebuild the Club after the devastation of Hurricane Helene in September 2024, providing essential resources and support during a challenging time.
Fundraising & Events
Our upgrades and contributions are made possible through a series of beloved fundraising events, including:
- Annual Fashion Show: Held each spring, this event supports a chosen charity, such as Pasco Kids First, an organization dedicated to helping abused children in our community. Fashion Show
- Christmas Tree Lighting: Our annual holiday tradition features new members with special ornaments and includes festive entertainment to usher in the season
Friendship & Fun
Beyond service, the Anchorettes exist to foster friendship and fun among women who love to connect and celebrate life. Our recent group outings have included:
- Theatrical events, such as 2026’s “Menopause the Musical 2: Cruising Through the Change”
- 2025’s “Wine & Dine NPR,” a progressive dinner in downtown New Port Richey
- Our annual spring party boat outing on the Cotee River
